People everywhere, everyday struggle whether it’s emotionally, mentally, financially, or physically. loneliness, unemployment, disease, misguidance, depression.. so many factors in life that contribute to one's state of being and life in general. Idk how or when or if it has always been the normal thing is to live life and only worry about yourself and only help others if it benefits you. Everyone has battles to face, I’m sure you have faced or are facing battles and struggles yourself, at times I’m sure you have needed a helping hand, advice, or guiding light. It’s strange to think so many people in this world search for the same thing, a sense of belonging and a sense of being valued but in their everyday lives, they don’t portray this with their actions they don’t value the needs of others. Things as simple as asking a friend or family member how can I help you accomplish your goal, a helping hand to the person on the side of the road, a simple hug or smile to that upset or crying person at the park, a fun conversation with the person sitting next to you on the train or my personal favorite, paying for a small item for the person in front of you in line because they don't have enough change, or simply letting the person behind you cut in line because you have more stuff than them, it’s all the little actions in life that maybe not will remarkably make a difference to people's lives but in those brief moments, you are connected, your or their struggles are not the focus, there is a belief, there is hope, there is life.. we all have dark times, we all have battles to fight, taking small steps every day to show compassion and connection can mean the world to one person because you never know what sort of battles they are facing. In a world full of darkness, be a light!
